New Academic Year Kicks Off with Dedication
Our hardworking teaching staff launched the 2024 academic year with incredible determination. After finalizing Annual Exam Results, they quickly shifted focus to preparing for the new session, which began in April. Balancing multiple responsibilities, including classroom teaching and conducting a door-to-door campaign, the teachers worked tirelessly to share the benefits of our sponsorship program with new families in rural areas.
This campaign is particularly impactful during April and May, as many families in our region are deeply involved in the harvest season. Despite challenges like low attendance early on and overlapping cultural festivities like weddings, the efforts of our staff ensured that attendance steadily increased as the season progressed. Our new teachers, carefully selected after a rigorous evaluation process, have already become an integral part of the team, contributing to a dynamic and inspiring learning environment.
Winter Uniform Distribution: A Memorable Event
As winter approached, our students enrolled in the sponsorship program received their much-needed winter uniforms, including black shoes, socks, and woolen cardigans, thanks to the support of Glocal Aid. To make the distribution extra special, we invited Mr. Anil Pradhan, an esteemed alumnus of Ebenezer School and the current MLA of Karwi, to preside over the event.
Mr. Pradhan, who graduated from the 8th grade in 2006, shared heartwarming memories of his school days and spoke passionately about the importance of education. He encouraged students to make the most of their opportunities and emphasized the role of education in shaping responsible and capable citizens. The students were thrilled to meet him and were inspired by his success story.
The event was filled with joy and excitement, with Mr. Pradhan personally distributing uniforms to some students and taking photos with them. It was a proud moment for the school, showcasing the deep connection between our past, present, and future.
Diwali Festivities: A Celebration of Joy and Unity
Diwali is one of the most significant festivals in India, and our students eagerly brought that festive spirit to school. In the days leading up to the holiday, classrooms were cleaned and decorated, games were played, and excitement filled the air. On the final day before the holiday break, students lit traditional diyas, burst crackers, and enjoyed time with their peers under the supervision of teachers.
This annual celebration not only brings joy but also reinforces our commitment to honoring cultural traditions and fostering a sense of community among our students.
General Knowledge Competition: A Test of Brilliance
November also saw the successful hosting of our General Knowledge Competition. Originally planned as an internal event, the competition expanded to include students from 12 neighboring schools, making it a truly collaborative and enriching experience. With over 500 participants, the event was a resounding success.
We are thrilled to share that five of our students ranked among the top 10, securing 2nd, 3rd, 6th, 7th, and 9th places! This remarkable achievement highlights the talent and hard work of our students and the guidance of our dedicated teachers.
The competition not only boosted the confidence of our students but also strengthened ties with other schools in the community, fostering healthy competition and camaraderie.
Health Camp: Promoting Wellness and Awareness
At Ebenezer School, we prioritize the holistic development of our students, including their physical well-being. In collaboration with the local health clinic, we organized a Health Camp focusing on gut health, digestion, and overall wellness.
The session was engaging and informative, with health workers explaining the importance of healthy eating habits, hygiene, and maintaining a balanced diet. Students actively participated, asking thoughtful questions about fast food, meal timings, and ways to stay healthy. At the end of the camp, each child received an energy drink pack, a small yet meaningful gesture to reinforce the importance of health and nutrition.

As we reflect on the events of November, we are filled with gratitude for the support of our staff, parents, students, and community partners. From the launch of the new academic session to the memorable celebrations and impactful programs, each initiative reinforces our mission to provide quality education and holistic development for every child.
