Celebrations and a new year

We are glad to say that we now seem to be back to somewhat normal with almost all the children participating in our school program.

2022 had a slow start due to the coronavirus. The school had to close in the beginning of the year, and the children were sent to follow the teaching program from home. After we got the message that we could reopen the school, our staff went door to door to inform the children and their parents that it was safe to return to class. As time passed and the virus stabilized, more children showed up to school.

We are glad to say that we now seem to be back to somewhat normal with almost all the children participating in our school program, and the educational curriculum is  getting back on track. Since the children have been away from school for so long, our teachers had to start the education curriculum from the beginning. They decided to do so to give every child a fresh start and get everyone to the same level. This took a few weeks, but now after midterms it seems that we are back on track.

We have celebrated a lot of different events throughout this semester to make up for the lost ones in the pandemic. First it was the festival of lights -Deepawali, then celebration of Republic Day and the examination where the children got their diploma. These days are filled with alot of excitement and joy for the kids! We provide different food and soft drinks to celebrate with, and the staff arrange various games for the children to participate in.
